Poker is one of the most popular card games in the world. It is played in casinos, private homes and in poker clubs. In some games, players are required to contribute money before the deal.

The first player to make a bet is called the bettor. Each player to the left of the bettor makes a “raise” or “fold” bet. A player who declines to make a fold is said to “drop.”

Players may use one or four cards from the table to form a hand. Some games use a five-card draw. This is a form of poker where the players make their best possible five-card hand.
