In the game of Poker, the players put their chips in the pot at regular intervals, and at the end of the round, all bets are gathered into a central pot. This pot contains all the winnings of all the previous rounds. Generally, the players who make the biggest bets win. However, if you are a newcomer to this game, you should understand its basic rules before you begin playing. Here are some tips to get you started.

Betting limits. You must bet a certain amount of chips at a time, and any bet should not exceed the limit. The maximum number of chips that a player can bet depends on the type of game being played. The limits can be two, five, or ten chips. The limits are set in stages of the game, such as before the draw, and after the final betting interval. Whenever a player has a pair, the limit is usually set to 10.

The different forms of Poker. The basic forms include Draw Poker and Stud Poker. In Draw Poker, all the cards are dealt face down, whereas in Stud Poker, some of them are dealt face up as the betting progresses. In Stud Poker, the other players are able to see part of each player’s hand. Only seasoned players play Stud Poker. Often, the decks are stripped. In addition, the wild card was introduced.
