Poker is a card game of strategy and chance, in which players wager chips on their hand by placing them in a pool called the pot. The player with the best hand wins the pot and the game. Players can bet in various ways, including calling (matching the last person\u2019s bet), raising, and folding. After all players have 2 cards, a round of betting begins. The first person to the left of the dealer puts down a mandatory bet, known as the blinds, and everyone else can call, raise or fold. When you raise, you increase your bet by adding more money to the pot. If you are not happy with your cards, you can say fold to drop out of the hand.<\/p>\n
Once all the players have checked their hands for blackjack, or if everyone checks, betting starts. If you think your cards have a high value, you can say \u201cstay.\u201d If you want to add another card to your hand, you can say \u201chit.\u201d You must pay the dealer for the new card.<\/p>\n
There are several types of poker hands, with the highest being a straight. If more than one hand has a high pair, the higher hand wins (for example, five kings beats five queens).
